    Fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation.
    • Student Friendly Translation: 
      I can add, subtract, multiply and divide multi-digit numbers involving decimals. 
      • Puedo sumar, restar , multiplicar ydividir números de varias cifras con decimales .
OBJECTIVE:

Students will be able to...
  • Know the opposite of a number
  • Evaluate absolute values and inequalities
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals
  • Graph a coordinate plane.
  • Conozca el opuesto de un número
  • Evaluar valores absolutos y desigualdades
  • Sumar, restar , multiplicar y dividir decimales
  • Graficar un plano de coordenadas .
DO NOW: (5-10 minutes)

Daily Dose of Agenda

  • Please write down your homework and take out your Winter Packet (make sure you fill out the front page). 

Please come in quietly, sit at your assigned seat, take out appropriate supplies, write in agenda, place homework and all other old assignments on your desk. Then begin working on your Do Now with the date on top.

    6. Unit 1 & 2 Review Test

  • Daily Writing Prompts (DWP)
    • 5 FULL sentences (spelling & grammar counts!) 
    • Title it "Make Your Dreams Come True Day" 
      • January 13 
        • Today is “Make Your Dreams Come True Day.”  What are your dreams?  Write about the dreams you have for your future.  Explain how you are going to make them come true. 
  • New Year, New Me Worksheet
    • Complete both sides of your sheet. Please think carefully about your goals. Also BE SPECIFIC (when you will accomplish it, how you will accomplish, what steps will you need to take to reach it).You will need at least 5 sentences for each section. Lastly, please decorate and color (make sure that if you use markers, it does not bleed through and that ALL your words are visible.

    Star Student: 15 lucky students will be selected for Thinking & Acting Responsibly and be awarded with a Free Dress band!
