OBJECTIVE:

Students will be able to...

  • Recognize like terms.
  • Use like terms to simplify expressions.
  • Add and subtract polynomials both vertically and horizontally. 









  • Reconocer los términos semejantes.
  • Utilice términos semejantes para simplificar expresiones.
  • Sumar y restar polinomios tanto vertical como horizontalmente.




  • DO NOW: (5-10 minutes)

    Things Needed for Today:

    • Scratch Paper




    Please come in quietly, sit at your assigned seat, take out appropriate supplies, write in agenda, place homework and all other old assignments on your desk. Then begin working on your Do Now with the date on top.

      • February 17 (Only Periods 1, 2, 3, 5,6)
      • February 17th is “Random Acts of Kindness Day.”  Make a list of 5-10 acts of kindness that you can perform over the next week or month.  You may also want to keep track of acts that you do, but were not on your list.  Remember, you can help anyone…young, old, family, friend, stranger.  Your random act can be as simple as picking up and returning an item someone dropped.
